Description:
The "Blue House" (Casa Azul) was Frida Kahlo's place of birth and death. She lived there for various periods throughout her life, and at times with her husband, Diego Rivera. Russian revolutionary exile Leon Trotsky and his wife, Natalia, also lived there in the late 1930s: The Mexican government gave Trotsky refuge at the behest of leftists Rivera and Kahlo. On display are some of Kahlo's paintings, costumes and furniture, as well as many pieces of folk art and correspondence between the famous couple.
