The Cat Cabinet (Kattenkabinet) is a museum in Amsterdam which houses a unique art collection based around the theme of cats. The Cat Cabinet was founded in 1990 to commemorate Bod Meijer's red tom cat called John Piermont Morgan (named after the US banker) who lived between 1966 and 1983. It contains a wide selection of paintings, sculptures, photo's, drawings and posters of cats- and includes works by Pablo Picasso, Rembrandt, Toulouse L'Autrec, Henriëtte Ronner Knip, Paul Gosselin, Leonor Fini. A small section of the museum is devoted to Bob Meijer's cat Morgan.
