"Depending on what you are after, choose an area, a more or less populous city, a more or less lively street. Build a house. Furnish it. Make the most of its decoration and surroundings. Choose the season and the time. Gather together the right people, the best records and drinks. Lighting and conversation must of course be appropriate. Pick up a subject for the conversation. Don’t be too politically correct, but always fun. Along with the weather talk about your memories.
After a while, bring the slide projector and start by showing your friends the pictures from your last adventure. Explain them your feelings towards each photograph. Don’t forget to explain every detail about the specific conditions in which the pictures where taken. Be very precise. Spend four or five minutes on each photograph. You should be creative and make up a story for each photograph. Use descriptions from novels that you’ve read. Build a fictional world together with your own experience. Be convincing. Make the others see what you see, even though you are aware from the beginning that this is an impossible task."
