Painter, etcher of landscapes, animals, cows, horses, polder meadows in the realism style. Son and pupil of Louis Verwee. Training by Deweirdt and Eugène Verboeckhoven. Traveled a lot with painter Louis Dubois. Often worked in the area of Knokke. Painted first banal performances in a somber palette but from 1878 he came to full development. Is one of the best Belgian animal painters. Work in museum: Brussel, Antwerpen, Gent, Kortrijk, Elsene, Den Haag.
