About the artist:
Gareth Jones-Roberts was born in Wales in 1935 and migrated to Australia in 1949. He is one of the Eltham, Vic, artistic community. Self-taught, he held about 26 solo exhibitions of his abstract paintings from 1959 onwards, in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Gareth has won many awards for his art, and, with his wife, was exchange artist to China in 1989, and artist-in-residence at La Trobe University in the same year.
