About the artist:
She was born in Vasprem in Austro-Hungary in 1811. She was the first female serbian painter and one of the best. She graduated Vieanna Academy of Art where she met many famous painters in that time. Beside Vienna she also lived in Paris, Munich and Belgrade. In 1876 she became first female memeber of Serbian Academy of Science and Art. She painted in total 38 paintings and mostly of them she donated to the National Museum of Serbia in Belgrade.
