Andre Favory was French painter and illustrator.Student at the Academie Julian , and strongly influenced by Cézanne , painted in a style Favory Cubist during the first years of his career.
In 1914, he left for war. When setting out again in 1919, the trenches experience profoundly changed his conception of art. It then moves away from the Cubist movement, he considers too intellectual, to approach more carnal aspects of nature and life.
