Cueco, Henry (born Uzerche on 19 October 1929) is an artist and writer French, best known for his paintings.Born of a Spanish father and French mother, Henri Cueco participates in 1952 at the Salon de la Jeune Peinture. Within this group, he developed a figurative painting, which participates in political involvement.

From 1962, he painted a series (rivers, bathrooms, adult games, men red) using the technical means of mass media: carved figures, flat areas of color, dots and stripes.Cueco Henry is one of the painters of the movement Figuration narrative, which developed in the mid-1960s.

He brought in his art critics and political engagement with some distancing humor.This commitment is also evident from 1972 in the Cooperative Malassis he founded, with Lucien Fleury, Jean-Claude Latil, Michael Parr, Gerard Weaver and Christian Zeimert.Cueco in this representational choice, perhaps one who has most questioned, in its way, the painting through several rounds:

It is with Patrick Besnier, Jacques Jouet, Hervé Le Tellier, Lucas Fournier, Gerard Mordillat and others, one of the "Papuan" the issue of France-Culture Papuans in the header, founded by Jerome Bertrand and moderated by Françoise Treussard. He is married to the visual artist Marinette Cueco.They live in the Paris region and in Correze (at Pouget de Vigeois).They have two children, the musician Pablo Cueco.
