About the artist:
Painter of portraitts, historical and religious compositions, flowers, nudes, angels in the Baroque style. In 1637 he joined the Saint Lucas guild of Antwerpen. Was influenced by the work of sir Antony Van Dyck. ecame a teacher in Antwerpen. Worked with Daniel Seghers, Paul de Vos, Jan Fijt, Frans Snijders and Peter Paul Rubens. Work in museum: Antwerpen, s'Hertogenboch.
