About the artist:
Painter of landscapes, woodland scenes in the realistic style. Fell from 1874 in the spell of painting, although his artistic career officialy only in 1881 did start. Albijns works have a hazy, naive and poetic atmosphere. His pristine view of his dailly environment led the artists of the first group of Latem to the secrets of rural life. Was friends with Valerius De Saedeleer, Emile Claus, Xavier De Cock. Belongs to the Latem school. Work in museum Brussel, Gent, Deinze, Deurle.
